Some Empties (and decluttered items)

I have been doing some decluttering and cleaning around our place, and in the process have been taking stock of what I have in different categories of things. One such category is makeup and skincare. I am also thinking of doing a project pan, so hopefully I can get around to doing that, too. In the process of all this decluttering and organizing, I have gathered some of my empties that I was hoping to share but instead have just been sitting in my storage. I mean, if I don’t share them now, I should just throw these away instead of having them clutter and take up space.

I have been saving up some of the products I used up from last year up to now and I kind of want to talk about them before I finally throw them out so I’ll also remember how I felt about these products. I will also be mentioning products that have not been used up but I have decided to declutter at the end of this post. Lastly, I’ll link whatever I can if you wanna check these for yourselves. And with that, let’s hop on to it!

Empties

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

If I remember correctly, this is the oldest product in the pile I have accumulated, as it was the first one I used up out of all the ones I’ll be mentioning in this post. As I said in a different post, this really took a long time to finish. I didn’t really need a lot of product, as using too much leaves me feeling greasy, and whenever I thought there was nothing left in the tube I’d give one final squeeze just to be sure and some product would still come out. For that reason, I really think I got my money’s worth out of this moisturizer.

Would I repurchase this?I wouldn’t mind repurchasing this.

Skin Genie Pit Perfect Deodorant Spray

From here on I’m no longer sure about the order in which I used up the products. Anyway, I love this deodorant spray. I have been trying to find a more natural deodorant, and one that is in a spray instead of a stick formula, and that is how I came across this product. I do not think this is the most natural, and I am not sure if this is the best or the most gentle, but so far this is my favorite of the more natural deodorants I have tried. I was sad to have used this up, but it had to happen.

Would I repurchase this? I was supposed to already! This was already in my cart but I held off on checking out until I could have enough products to buy but when the time came it went out of stock! So yes, I would. I tried. I will definitely buy this after I finish the deodorant I ended up buying, but it might take a while before that happens.

Diva White Underarm Deo Spray

As I mentioned, I am somewhat on a search of a more natural spray deodorant. After I tried the Skin Genie Pit Perfect, I was thinking of trying something else to see if there’s anything better on the market, especially since the Skin Genie one is a little pricey for me. This is why I chose to buy this deo spray, since it’s very cheap in comparison to the Pit Perfect. I think it’s too harsh for my liking, and I realized that I prefer the Skin Genie Pit Perfect to this. That’s not to say it’s a bad product, I just prefer something else.

Would I repurchase this? In a pinch, maybe. I’ll definitely choose the Skin Genie Pit Perfect Deodorant Spray over this.

COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner

One of the things that lived in my shelf for quite a while before I got around to writing this was this COSRX toner. I also used this up last year like the moisturizer from The Ordinary, and I really like this toner. I feel like no matter how harsh my cleanser can be, this toner will calm my skin to the proper pH level and prep it well for the next step. It also cleans up any residual product or dirt left on my skin after cleansing.

Would I repurchase this? This is definitely high on my list of toners I wouldn’t mind repurchasing. It’s a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth it, and it did last me a long time too.

Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Dermo-Cleanser

This was my staple facial cleanser last 2018, and I believe I went through several bottles of this (especially since I sometimes buy the smaller one and of course I go through that much faster). I am currently using other cleansers, but that’s not because I don’t like this product, I just wanted to try something new and the other one was given to me and I just want to use that one up. I like this cleanser because it doesn’t have sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), and is quite gentle. However, if you’re avoiding parabens, this still has some, so keep that in mind. I don’t think I do, and this is the best for the price that I could find.

Would I repurchase this? Yes, definitely. It’s good and it’s affordable. It also lasts me a long time.

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack (Bija & Aloe Sleeping Pack)

This is a more recent thing to me, and I quite love it. A friend gave it to me earlier this year and I took with me on our trip to Japan because it was winter at the time of our trip. I thought this would be nice to use since it’s small, good for travel, and it will be a good moisturizer given the weather. I didn’t know where I got the notion that this will only last me two applications, it was definitely more than that, and that was a good thing to discover because I really liked this one. It was very cooling, I liked the scent (yes it has a scent but I’m not sure it’s perfume, it could just be the ingredients used). I also like the idea that this is something I do not need to wash off before going to bed.

Would I repurchase this? In this case, the question would be would I actually buy it for myself? Probably. My only issue is that since it’s small it might not be good for the price, but I’ll check that in the future if I’m looking to buy and if ever I don’t buy this, it’s definitely not going to be because I don’t like this product, because I really do.

Celeteque Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner

This was my toner before I used my COSRX one, I believe, and then I stopped using it when I got the COSRX toner. However, when I finished my COSRX toner, I felt like it would be a waste of money to not use the stuff I have currently opened before opening a new toner. I think it does help clean off anything that I may have missed during cleansing, and it has ingredients that are supposed to help fight off acne, which I appreciate.

Would I repurchase this? I do believe that Celeteque is a good brand, with generally good ingredients for a more affordable price, so usually I do keep Celeteque products in mind when I need to purchase something. However, this particular toner will probably be low on the list since it feels like it may be a little drying and I do have one I much prefer if ever I’ll purchase a Celeteque toner which I’ll be mentioning here as well.

Decluttered

Celeteque Brightening Alcohol-free Toner

This is the Celeteque toner that I prefer over the oil control one. I purchased this for my fiancé because I wanted to make him try a gentler toner instead of his usual one. However, he stopped using it after a while and didn’t tell me so it just sat in his stuff and by the time I noticed, it was nearing its expiration date. Because I felt sorry to see a lot of it go to waste, I decided to use it for one more month (yes, after its expiration date, don’t follow my example) and then declutter it. It was a sort of mini project pan thing for me too as I marked where I was when I started and I wanted to see how much I can use up before I really have to let it go.

I used up this much in around a little more than one month of use.

Would I repurchase this? Yes, I would, not that I need a toner any time soon. Still, this is quite high on my list too, although not as high as my COSRX one. But if I find myself in a position where I could not spend as much on a toner as the COSRX one costs, then I’ll probably go for this one. It has a scent that I actually like, and makes application a fun time.

Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl Mascara

Here we have another instance of recklessness from yours truly. I opened this tube last year, when I was trying to learn how to apply makeup, and I wanted to learn how to use mascara. Yes, I’ve lived several decades without knowing how to apply mascara. It is possible. Anyway, I opened it, used it once, and then left it to chill in my collection. I know I shouldn’t keep mascara for more than three months, but I thought since I don’t use it much it should be fine. I used this mascara again this week just to try again as I was experimenting with my makeup and it was quite dry so I thought this was a sign telling me to just toss this one. And since I got a mascara from a subscription box, then I could just use that to learn.

Would I repurchase this? As I mentioned, I know next to nothing about mascaras. I did buy this one because I think it was on sale and it does look like a popular one from Maybelline. I’m thinking maybe I’ll try the L’Oreal Lash Paradise first just to see if that will be easier for me to use, and also for me to figure out what works best for me. But I am open to repurchasing this one as well, and I have no opinion on the product whatsoever as of now.

And finally, I can let these items go after thanking them for their contributions to my life. Do you have any items you finished up or decided to declutter?
