Product Notes: Bioré UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ PA++++

I’m kinda scared to call these kinds of posts as reviews, because I do not really have the expertise to give a “review” to these products. But I do have some thoughts about products and other things I use personally, and I would like to share them in some way. So here are some notes of mine regarding certain products.

The first product I will talk about is the Bioré UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ PA++++. I used this product up in, maybe over a year? And I will say, I really like this product.

But first, the ingredients (taken from BeautyMNL):

As found on the bottle itself:

Honestly, this does not make that much sense to me, I have to admit. I’m not really familiar with these ingredients. What I do know based on what I’ve learned so far, is that the sunscreen ingredients here are the Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Based on the casual research I’ve done on sunscreens, these are my preferred ones, which is why I even picked this up in the first place.

One other thing that must be noted is the presence of alcohol, which may be concerning to some. It was also a concern to me, because alcohol may irritate the skin, or it can also dry the skin. This will not be good for me because my skin can be quite sensitive and if my skin gets dehydrated it might produce more oils to compensate which will make me even more oilier, as I have oily skin to begin with.

Fortunately, and we are now moving to more of my thoughts on the product, the alcohol content did not seem to irritate my skin or cause it to dry out. It just gave me a matte feel, but did not make my skin any oilier or irritated throughout the day. This sunscreen also had quite a thin, liquid consistency, so it was easy to apply and also easily dries on the skin. It does not leave a greasy feeling. I am not sure I apply the correct amount of sunscreen, but the ease of application the formula of the sunscreen makes it less of a chore to apply. It at least ensures that I get to apply the sunscreen on a daily basis.

The sunscreen also sits well under makeup, I’ve had a full face of makeup on me with the sunscreen under it and I did not have any issues with it. Sometimes I think of it as a sort of primer, and again it helps me make it a part of my routine, since it’s so easy to apply and does not leave any undesired sensation when applied.

The size of the bottle is handy so I can easily fit it into my kikay kit, and it has not spilled on me at all during the time I’ve had it. The price is also a good deal for me, since it is very affordable for me.

Overall, this is my favorite sunscreen so far, and while I am currently testing out other sunscreens in case I find a better one, I might still go back to this in the end. It has made sunscreen application easy and convenient, mattifies but does not dry my face or make it greasy, and is quite affordable.

This product is Php397 on BeautyMNL, and I think it is around the same price, if not slightly cheaper, at The Landmark Makati department store, where I got mine. It is also available at the beauty section of the SM Department Store in SM Makati, so maybe it can be found in other branches as well.

What’s your current/favorite sunscreen?
